4, of course, is divisible by 2. Therefore, numbers which are divisible by 4 must be even.
If the last 2 digits of a number is a multiple of 4, then that number is divisible by 4.
Examples: I know 312 is divisible by 4 because 12 is a multiple of 4.
532 is divisible by 4 because 32 is a multiple of 4.
788 is divisible by 4 because 88 is a multiple of 4.
904 is divisible by 4 because 4 is a multiple of 4.
340 is divisible by 4 because 40 is a multiple of 4.
2048 is divisible by 4 because 48 is a multiple of 4.
7536 is divisible by 4 because 36 is a multiple of 4.
This rule applies to any number.
The reason this rule works is because 100 is divisible by 4. This means the next multiple of 4 after 100 is 104, followed by 108, 112, 116 and so on, until we reach 200.
The next multiple of 4 after 200 is 204, followed by 208, 212, 216, 220 and so on, until we reach 300. And this goes on.
